I ran across this on a Yahoo Costa Rica discussion group. Unfortunately I was unable to open the link, that is given as the source, so can not authenticate the numbers. However from what I see in CR I have no reason to doubt them.
In 2002 the International Labor Organization (ILO) teamed up with
Costa Rica's National Institute of Statics (INEC) to include a
Infant Labor module in the annual Survey for Mulitple Purposes --
Poverty, Income, Housing.
