I have heard from an extremely reliable source that last Friday night a gringo in a room in the DR was taken away by police after smacking around a BM chica in his room. On Tuesday, the chica and gringo were questioned by police. The gringo was told to leave the country and not to come back. I was told he was very upset about this. I do not know the gringo's name and I suspect he was not a member of this group. If anyone has additional info on this, please pm me. sailor |

Maybe its just me...but if some gringo WAS smacking a girl around in his room...I hope he DOES get sent away and never comes back. We dont need this type or image in this country or this organization of CRT. |

Tough, to bad they did not do some "old fashion" police work and take him outside to show him the error of his ways before booting him back to the states. |

WARNING-WARNING-WARNING This is posted as humor only!!!!!!! Heard it was handsolo. The tica got pis*ed when he decided he would pleasure himself instead of allowing her to do her job. The last straw was when he blew one ascoss the room and almost put her eye out. At this point all hell broke loose and handy is no longer allowed to enter conutry. I understand no need to worry, plastic surgery has already been scheduled. |

They should have gave him a worst punishment than that. I would have tied him down and let her slap him around for a while. This is something that I am strongly against. My last trip at KL I was sitting with a Colombiana and across the bar a gringo was mistreating a very nice look chica. He was grabbing her throat and squeezing , then giving her a little slap on the face. But the chica didn’t look like she liked it. I wanted to say something so bad but my chica ask me not to so that I don’t get into trouble. She said its her fault for allowing it. I had to leave before my temper got the best of me. |

I concur. What do you do if the chica goes crazy in your room for some reason? Perhaps she has reneged on the agreement, demanded the money upfront, insisted on a CBJ, wanted a larger tip, indulged in too much alcohol/drugs, etc. I've had some chicas get very upset at me a few times. Granted, most times it was with a favorita/novia, but certainly it could happen with/to anyone. Most of the time, they will just sulk, say a few words and leave, but what do you do if the chica goes nuts and actually attacks you physically? All you can do is protect yourself and call security. Most of the time, the hotel and authorities would side with the Gringo/client, but what would happen if the chica had briuses on her for whatever reason, or was bleeding, perhaps even self-induced? Speaking of crazy chicas, ask Pidd about the 'Transylvania Twit'. |

Are you? Of course not. I was suggesting possible reasons or scenarios when a chica might become angry with you, i.e. you throw her out of the room because she insists on the money up front. |

I agree with Coqui and GT. Lets not jump to any conclusions before we know all the facts. I've seen plenty of the stereotypical ugly americans to know that this guy could easily have been totally at fault. But I've also seen some crazy and/or lying and cheating chicas. And we all know about Astro/Crystal and the water bottle and pen incident. Nothing justifies physically assaulting a woman who is typically half your size (except perhaps to restrain her or defend yourself if she is the one attacking), but there may be some partially mitigating circumstances. Maybe she was refusing to leave and instead of calling security, as he should have done, he was trying to "show her the door" by grabbing and pushing her towards it. I don't know. There are lots of possible scenarios in addition to the more probable one that he was simply an asshole. Also lets put this in some perspective. Yeah, it certainly sounds like what this guy did is bad. It helps foster a negative image of gringos mongers that make chicas defensive and therefore negatively impacts all of us. But before we give this guy the electric chair, we should remember its not like he killed somebody or was involved in Ch*ld abuse. He got his punishment and has been banned from CR and if that makes him sad (as it would me), too bad. He should have thought of that before he hit the girl. |

I have been physically attacked twice in my relatively long life by women. One was my first ex who ended up being an out of control druggie. The second was a slap by a long term Mexican novia during an arguement...which action is part of their culture. In both cases while I was angry, there was no need to hit or slap back. In the first case I simply grabbed her arms, got her down on the couch and sat on her until she "calmed down" and realized she was outmatched physically. In the 2nd case I simply looked at her and said if that ever happened again, that would be the last she saw of me (it never happened again). I guess I grew up old fashioned...there is never a reason to physically abuse a woman...or even respond in like kind. The recommended response with these putas is ask them to leave immediately and if they dont call front desk/security to force them. These situations are another reason I no longer take an unknown woman to my home or hotel room. The risk is there. |
