I don't get the never ending obsession with the bartenders, there are hundreds of hot chicas available, why waste your time? Sure some of them are sexy and probably available if you want to spend all your time and money romancing one of them and dating her like a normal girl,

Amonth ago I was checking out of DR, and one of the bar tenders came off the elevator with her hair messed up. It was pretty obvious she had just woken up and left someones room. The girl I was with says she has seen that woman before leaving rooms.
I was told that Annabel will for $500. She is pretty hot. This suprised me, but it came from a girl that knows her.

This is all personal opinion, so take it for what it's worth...

I personally know Alba, she's an absolute sweetheart, and her and I have hung out during all my trips and have shared many a Jager-bomb and pool game together. In terms of asking her for a session, I think she would be completely insulted by such proposal. IMHO and in my eyes she's a bartender who does her job well (i.e., she's very personable, always cheerful, always remembers my name, takes good care of those that take care of her {prompt prioritized service with DRINKS and my giving good tips}. She is NOT a working girl, and thus I never look or think of her, or consider treating her, in that manner. Looking at her, treating her, or proposing something to her as I would a working girl would be, IMHO, disresepectful from my part. I met her guy-friend just two weeks ago (really cool dude) and hung out with him a while too, so there's probably another person who might feel insulted in the equation.

I think that though not impossible (nothing's impossible in CR...), the bartenders for the most part aren't for sale, and they don't need to be, as they make plenty of cash off of the automatic 10% gratuity on each purchase plus whatever extra tips we hand them after every drink. I dare say that they are making just as much, if not more, than the average working girl on the other side of the bar. Being a bartender has to be a very coveted job, as like I said, it's good money for the chicas, and by Costa Rica standards, it's FANTASTIC money. Also, don't quote me on this, but I think it's against the rules, or at the very least HIGHLY DISCOURAGED for them to "hook up" with any of the customers, atleast not on the property (KL, BM, Monkey Bar all being part of same property).

My recommendation, based on experience and others stories, is that if you have a shot with a bartender, it won't be in the fashion of P4P like the working girls. It will be in the more conventional method of courting a REAL NON-WORKING CHICA. i.e. take her to dinner, out on a date, go hit the discos, invest time and efforts into it, and hope for the best in terms of scoring. I personally DID have an opportunity to go out with an un-namable BM bartender my last trip, but i figured I'd rather spend $30-80 on a sure-thing working girl than spend god knows how much money and time on a standard date and not be 100% sure I'll even make it to first base. And so, I told her I couldn't go out with her that night.

Personally, I go to CR to bang as much as I can with as many chicas as I can... to hell with "dates" and non-guaranteed opportunities. I have grown fond of and developed some really great acquaintances/friendships with a handful of the bartenders, and don't even toy with the idea of disrespecting/insulting them with any kind of sexually-related proposals.

In a nutshell (sorry so long, went on a monologue)

1) Know their role...they provide drinks/food. Don't worry, there's PLENTY of working girls just on the other side of the bar who's role is to bang you.

2.)They don't need your money through sexual favors, they are already milking you quite well with your bar tab. Working girls DO need your money and thus are willing to let you do dirty things to her for said money.

3.) I THINK it's against the rules for them to hook up with you, atleast not on the property, so considering how good the money is, they are not going to easily risk such a GREAT job just so you can get in their pants. Keep that in perspective.

4.) IMHO, if you do have a bartender interested in you, I suggest you be willing to approach this as a standard conventional courting event where you will invest money, time and efforts with no guarantee of how far you will get. I personally am always limited on time and money in CR, and one of the reasons I do P4P so that i DON'T HAVE TO make any efforts, so all in all, I think bartenders are a waste of my limited time in CR anyways.


Like I said, all this is my personal opinion... take it for whatever value you like. But I hope it helps atleast a little.
