Thinking of taking a trip to SJ in August. Might be first week of August, might be last week of August.

What is the chica/gringo ratio like at BM in August? How are the hotel prices? Any general advice?

Thanks, Racetrack

It rains many afternoons. It isn't as crowded as Dec-Mar, and better deals can be had with respect to housing. It never hurts to ask for a discount at a hotel, particularly if you are staying for a while.

yes, august is the rainy season but many good deals can be found.
don't worry about the chicas - they'll be there, and because its a bit
slow, you might even save a buck with them.
Most Aug. days start out nice and along about 3 pm, clouds roll in and it may rain for about 3 hours - but thats great for afternoon delights in your hotel room = or you could gamble. Never rains in the casinos.
