Post subject:  Update on the Sportsman 10-27-25

After the demise of the well liked Mr Bill, I am happy to report that Manifred is doing a great job at keeping the party going at the Sportsman. We were there for the Angels and Demons party on 10-17, and the place was hopping. The vibe has not changed, and though there is a definite missing piece of the puzzle without Bill, I do not see a decline in quality of food or staff. There is a different air to the place but it was very subtle, I feel that there is no one better to take the reins than Manifred. I think he has the training and business mindset that Bill and his father built the Sportsman with, so I would not anticipate anything other than a great stay if that is your go to lodging establishment or just a place you go to meet the local talent. One final note Bill was a diehard Dodgers fan so hopefully he is watching them from above and smiling as they play in the World Series.

Encouraging Update. Let the good times continue. I simply cannot imagine myself staying anywhere else if SL were no longer there.

I was in San Jose from October 1-november 19
Visited Sportsman's about 35 of those days including angels and demons and thought it was excellent. Whoever is running it is doing a great job. Bartenders are good food is above average and atmosphere is fine.I enjoyed walking between Tormina Castillo and sportsman's
