Been traveling to CR for over 25 years. Been to the Caribbean side 5 or 6 times around Puerto Viejo area. Often read how "dangerous" the port city of Limon is so when I drive to PV I never stop in Limon.

That said, I'm planning another visit to the PV area soon and curiosity has got the best of me:

Is it "really" that bad in Limon and/or is it worth stopping there for a day or 2? Seems like some of the most attractive Ticas I've met over the years come from Limon. Can I get a "massage" there?

Thoughts? Thank You.

I've met 2 off the websites in Limon that were legit, 20 and cute.
There are no bars with anything hanging out, the police issue parking tickets everywhere.
There's some street action by the little bridge into town via airport but they're drug riddled
Puerto Viejo has a couple girls, nice Ticas, and a white lady, older, that's starting to bring more friends around to meet the needs.

If you're in Limon Central, stick to the websites. Skko ka or WI llis. There are girls, and cheap by comparison. Always verify bbbj upfront.

Limon extends from Rio Frio/Guapiles all the way to the Panama border. It is huge. The women that you meet from Limon are likely from one of the smaller towns in In the area. Limon Centro is not worth spending a day in. Guapiles is a cool place and there is some action there. Just ask any cab driver.

Depends on how much you value breathing... I would stay away. Risk to reward not in your favor.
