I'd like to ship three big duffle bags, probably about 100 lbs each (lots of books).

I live in Tampa, so there are services where you can put your stuff on a pallet and get a truck and make an appointment and drive it right up to the ship. It's kind of a hassle, though, and the smallest pallet ships double what I want to ship.

There's concierge services that will come to your door and pick it up and guarantee delivery right to your house. They are off the charts expensive, though--like $1000 a bag and the bags must be in lots of two.

Does anyone have any suggestions of a middle way? I'd really like to find someone else who is shipping a pallet but isn't filling it up so we could split costs, but I don't know of any forums or what not to search for such people.

I'm also open to any other ideas anyone has for me to look into.

Get a flight on Alaska Airlines and if you fly first class you will get 70lbs in your first 2 suitcases and your next 2 can be up to 100 lbs and probably not charged. If you do have to pay for your 2 100lb bags, the cost is only $100.00 each Then all you need to worry about is aduanas but if they are books you will probably sail thru with no issues.
