American retiree Mark W. hasn’t responded to my phone calls. He actually can pass as Santy Claus in looks and frequents the Sportsmens Lodge from time to time. Anyone know how he has been doing. I forget his CRT handle. Don Pappi? Bill at Sportsmens would know him. Thx SpursFan |

Last I saw him was last year at the casino in the Holiday Inn, he sometimes would go there at happy hour as it was a bit quieter - loud music bothered him. |

I have an update on Don Papi aka Mark. Unfortunately, he was admitted to the ICU unit at CINA hospital on October 18th with kidney and heart-related issues. He was on a respirator but is breathing on his own and his condition is stable as far as I know for now but still remains in the ICU. His sister and niece are in San Jose with him and are helping to coordinate things with his doctors. Please keep him in your prayers. I will provide an update once I know more. |

For some reason the post about the update on Don Papi has been deleted. Mark is in the Orlando area of Florida. I visited him recently and have his local cell number. I speak with him frequently. Just send me a PM with your info and I'll pass it on to Mark so that he can reach out to you. He's doing much better after several months of being in the hospital and enduring lots of rehab. He's now looking at what he wants to do for living arrangements, ie., stay in Florida or come back to Costa Rica. |

Mark is now in Michigan living with a relative and working with doctors to revitalize his health. Wish him the best. I talk with him periodically. If you would like to speak to him then just PM me with your name and contact info and I'll pass it on to Mark. |
