I will be making my first trip to Costa Rica March 7-11, staying at The Presidente. I may have asked a few of these questions a couple months ago here but I need a reminder.

What is the weather like in early March? Are shorts and T shirts OK?

Do most businesses (stores, resteraunts, etc) accept credit cards?

Are there places in the vicinity of the Presidente or Del Ray where one can book a day trip to either coast?

What other places besides the Blue marlin are good for Ticas? I was in Tijuana just 4 weeks ago and the going rate there is still $50 to $60, I don't want to pay $100 in CR.

If you want to stand out like "gringo" turista wear shorts. Otherwise try dockers or jeans! IMHO. Unless at the beach.

Lycaon,Welcome to the board.I don't like to overpay either.You might check the sticky I posted on MP's, bars and nightclubs for some massage places for daytime action and local girl bars for nightime fun.Guess I do look a bit like a tourist but I like my cargo shorts with many pockets and Tshirts.I like to go casual on vacation.It can be cool at night but inside most places I'm fine in my shorts a Tshirts. Just look around this site and you will find lots of info.Enjoy your trip.rbc100
