Thanks in advance. I'm arriving to SJ at the end of September and looking for transportation from the airport. In the past I've always meet Pops there. There's nothing like going to CR and his face is the first thing you see. I certainly will miss that. Any suggestions will be appreciated. |

I use the Orange Taxis only! Never a problem, reasonable rates and they drive fast!!! They don't get lost and try to jack up the rate. Only downside is none of the drivers look as good as Vanessa! |

One word UBER, its at least half price and you can't get ripped off since no cash exchanges hands as they are paid thru the app. Plus you are in a much nicer car. |

I've found the bus is best way to get from the airport to San Jose.. It will take you to the downtown.. That is how all the employees that work there get back and forth and if you only have a bag or two it works great... Just walk out the front and keep walking all the way to the street... I do not know if they stop running late at night but always come every 10 or 15 minutes... BE SURE TO ASK FOR THE BUS TO SAN JOSE.. as some go the other direction to Alajuela. |

I do use Uber ALOT! But not from the airport because there is a small chance for trouble and I always try to go the other way from trouble. I have a driver I trust immensely, Jonathon Cantillano. His Whatsapp# is 506 6325 2564. He is a taxi driver with the credentials to operate at the airport and is always very helpful grabbing bags and loading his car. He is always a little early even at 4 am for those early flights. We are even facebook friends and he is looking into getting me tickets to the Costa Rica-Honduras futbol game in November. No one could ever replace Pops, but CR is full of hard working extremely genuine people. |

Go up to the arrivals and catch a cab leaving empty, after dropping off their fare |
