Greetings all! I haven’t been to CR since Dec 2014, where I spent 5 fun nights in Jaco at the Vista Mar. With my usual Nov destination (Pattaya) basically off limits unless I can spend a month or more on the ground, I’m looking into returning to Jaco with 2 like minded friends for 14 days or so. No offshore fishing this time. I’m wondering what the current scene is looking like in Jaco. Spent plenty of time shopping at the Cocal on previous trips. From a couple of recent threads I read, it appears that things might be more expensive than it was a few years back. I know condos are more lol. I expected it to an extent since things weren’t exactly cheap in Jaco last trip. just gotta budget to cover if need be. If I gotta spend 2 weeks somewhere, I’d prefer to do it in view of the ocean. San Jose just doesn’t really match my scenery profile. Let me know guys! |

You know the price issue comes up a lot. I don't think that you are forced to pay anything you don't want to pay, but that being said I am not going down to worry about $$. I work hard and I want to have fun so if the beach is a little more so be it. I also know staying at Cocal Hotel is NO girl charge so a couple chicas visit each day with me and I have saved money there. When I get to Castillo that all inclusive is going to save me a bunch of colones. I know I speak only for myself but if $$ is such an issue why let it take away from your having fun? Plus I would bet Whitecat would be happy to loan you some cash since he he is not a Cien guy and must have a bunch saved up. |
