Pops has passed. I talked to him last night around 11pm. Then this morning when I returned from having breakfast, the police and ambulance were next door. I have identified the body. The police have tried to contact his wife, but she does not answer her phone. They also have his son's phone number.

I was going to hook up with him in October and have him show me around. He was gracious enough to contact me here. Sad news and even though I have never met him I hope he Rests in Peace.

Sad to hear. He was a great guy, always helpful with new info, glad to do airport runs and we're going to miss him. It's always sadder when it's so sudden .

How sad! I just saw him on Tuesday and just texted with him yesterday. He seemed fine. I guess you just never know. He was a good guy and will be sorely missed.

So very sad. He helped me when I first came to San Jose, as he has countless of us. RIP Pops.

I chatted with him last night and even exchanged text messages. The last thing I said to him at 11:09 was "Pura Vida". He was found this morning dressed and on his sofa, his Georgia Bulldogs coasters on the coffee table. A mutual friend is caring for his dog, the doctor is here and the OIJ will seal the apartment. A local lawyer is communicating with his son in the US.

I'm not likely to post a lot more details, but just letting those who had bookings know.

In dying as in living, Pops had the bases covered. Safe travels my friend.

R.I.P. Pops! I met him in 2018 when he stopped by LA Amistad for lunch. We had a great conversation. I told him about a Chica situation that went sideways the day before and he gave me a pep talk that completely turned my attitude to the better! Descansa en paz, amigo!

One of the nicest most decent guys I ever met here, he'd help anybody in need of good advice.

I remember making the rounds with him and many other guys many a night, walking back and forth between SL and HDR, always lots of laughs, lots of fun, lots of females back in those days, and it seemed like Pops knew them all...

R.I.P. Pops, you lived life on your terms, and lived life to the fullest, you will be missed...

RIP,
Don't know what to say, live life as if there is no tomorrow. Nothing is guaranteed.
WOW, wonder if the accident he had caused repercussions physically , shit we are getting old.

I just heard this on FB. Hard to believe. Shocking. All of us that visit and/or live here have lost a friend and comrade. It sure makes us aware of just how vulnerable we all are and how fleeting life is. I will miss him and at the same time it makes me think "Could it be me tomorrow"! I am sure that yesterday he did not think that it would be his last day. RIP MY FRIEND!!!

I agree we don't know when our number is up. I wasn't going to go down to CR this Fall because it was going to be a big hassle, but after Pops died, I rethought that. Life is too short.
Enjoy every minute. I think that Pops did, knowing him.
