Or a little closer, Kimberley is now running the bar and restaurant at Hotel La Amistad. The bar and restaurant are being run as a separate entity from the hotel.

I don’t know if they have done an official opening yet. I have eaten there about a dozen times, sometime ordering off a handwritten menu that had not gotten to the printer yet. The food was all absolutely top quality.

Definitely will have to visit Kimberly at the Amistad.

I walked by the old Soda Peru this morning and took a closer look. Apparently the Egyptian restaurant that was across the street relocated there. I've never eaten Egyptian food so I will have to check it out.

It is called Al Masri and you can find reviews on TripAdvisor
I used to go by quite often when I lived nearby but did not know they moved. The lentil soup (c2mil) and falafel sandwich (c1900) are both good and either make a nice light lunch. Their platters allow you the opportunity to go as large as your appetite. The lamb kabobs are good. A full menu is available on Facebook.
