I am familiar with the best ATM locations in San Jose (like the one at the INS building where you can pull larger sums than most). I will be spending considerable time in and around Jaco in July but am not familiar with the best ATM locations there. Any suggestions?

Banco Nacional near the Mas X Menos supermercado also has ATMs in a secure location. I little closer to Cocal if you are walking.

My pre-pandemic memory seems like it had a reasonable limit on withdrawals, a few hundred mil colones. Didn’t use it enough that I bothered doing a comparison of fees.

Jaco has enough hombres of questionable character that it is advisable to use the ATM during daylight hours when the bank is open.

Banco Nacional will let you get 305,000 at the current moment. BCR is limiting you to 120,000 but you can do 3 transactions to get you to the 500.00 daily limit so they get 3 fees instead of 1
