SinCity asked in a different post if I was being speaking as the 'San Jose Chamber of Commerce'. That prompted me to give it some thought.

I still think now is a good time for the experienced, vaccinated monger with a decent contact list, a leche backup and a pocket full of stimulus cash. But what about the rest?

My prediction is that CR will be rocking in July because ......
1. Most of the US will be vaccinated, but it will still be pu*sy prison.
2. I've heard rumors from multiple different sources of vaccines hitting the private pharmacies here about then. This will allow 'cien boys' to forgo Western Union and sponsor their hovias so they can skip the Caja Queue. I expect some chicas will 'get jabbed' 10 to 15 times when that happens. No criticism, I am taking mine to the US later this month.
3. Late June and early July usually has several weeks of dry weather known as the Veranillo de San Juan (Little Summer of St. John). The feast day is actually June 21 and the CR weather service should be predicting the date soon.
4. Current restrictions should produce a declining infection rate and the hospitals will have recovered by then.

BTW, The rivers should still be high from the early season rains, so before my disability this is when I would go rafting in Sarapiqui. Lots of Class II and III options. (this bit brought to you by the SJ Chamber of Commerce  )

You're overthinking this, Boynton.

I split May 22.

Good times shall commence May 23.

FYI... Here is the weather service prediction:

Looks like the weather will only be rocking in Guanacaste.
