My flight back to LA leaves early Sunday morning. Staying at the SL. I need to get my Covid test either Friday or Saturday. Could I get recommendations on the closest and easiest place to the SL to get that done. Thx.

I got my test at SL in April. The nurse comes in around 10:00a.m. Talk to the receptionist early Friday morning. They will put you on a list. I advise waiting in the lobby and seeing the nurse walk in so you do not miss her. She is not there long. The receptionist desk had my certificate for me the next morning.

The quick test will come back the same day. You can do this one Saturday.

If you are leaving Sunday you can schedule for Thursday, Friday, or Saturday. Doesn’t matter what time your flight is because it is not 72 hours, it is in the three days before your flight.

I have had the test twice at SL. Personally I like to have it done as soon as allowed. It being Costa Rica, there are too many things that can go wrong if you do it Saturday and are expecting results that day.

Well, since their web site says $75 + 4% Tax, I'm guessing it will be around $75 + 4% tax. Although I imagine that could vary depending on whether it is a PCR or Antigen. But you should keep on wondering, it's not like they have a telephone ir email.

If you take the all inclusive, the Castillo was giving you a rebate of $30 for the antigen test and $50 for the PCR test. Back in early April, I paid the lab tech 38,000 CRC (about $62) for the antigen test and got $30 cash back from Rudy.

Test was performed in the lobby around 10 am and got the results that afternoon. I don't know the retail cost of the PCR test.

Lab Echandi which is one of the bigger operations with multiple sites quote 33,000 colones (about $53) for Antigen and 59,000 colones (about $95) for PCR on their website. https://labechandi.com/2020/11/pruebas-covid-19/ you have to click through and start making an appointment to see pricing
