To those who cherish fond memories of the KL you will be glad to hear that yesterday
it was declared a national heritge. Therefore it will remain preserved and unmolested
for years to come. Wether it will be restored to it's former glory days is doubtful.

Of course with the music, dancing, and restaurant I had always considered it a cultural center.

Does this mean the Del Mar Restaurant is now closed?

Arriving in SJ later this week and I always enjoyed going there for dinner.

Yes it’s not 1997 anymore the world moves on. Walked out of that place hand-in-hand with uncountable numbers of young ladies available for various activities.
Now it’s a national heritage site good to know they appreciated my contributions to the local economy.

That's been the longstanding rumor, but I have no further info. But I did hear that they are going to feature bat stew on the new menu, :).

I experienced Help in Rip during the late 1980’s. I’m just thankful that I at least gave those memories.

Jeezus! There's a name out of the past. What an Epic place.
Strangely enough, as many times as I went in Key Largo and as much alcohol as i quaffed there, I don't think I ever pulled a chica from there. :?

I still think the Del Rey is my all time favorita bar. Like the bar outta Star Wars: every size, shape, color, language (ok, I exaggerated here) on the planet.

I do recall seeing Jabba the Hutt and the occasional Wookie or two there. Not too many Leias in the latter days.
