Post subject:  Covid Test to Re-Enter US Cartago Area
Are there any Covid Testing locations where I can get the required test in order to depart SJO for my return to the US if I'm staying in the Cartago area (specifically in the town of Paraiso)?

This a list of labs from the C/R government that do the testing..Its a PDF , broken down by region in the country
But I'm damn if I can figure out where most of them are, as you may know, street addresses are Fu-up in C/R
I'll be staying out by the San Pedro Mall.

Flaco - IMO the easiest place for you would be the Laboratorio Labin in Los Yoses (Plaza Vivo). It is just south of the San Pedro Mall.

BT - You might check the Laboratorio Clinico Paraiso in front of the bus terminal in Paraiso but they are not on the official ICT list. Their number is 2574 7908. If they don't do it the easiest to find is the Laboratorio Labin next to he Auto Mercado in Tres Rios.

Both of these should be destinations in Uber or DiDi. Both are also open 7 days a week, 6:30 - 4:30.

Has anyone tried to return to US with a note of recovery from a doctor?
I had a positive test with mild symptoms back in late March.
Doctor is telling me that I will probably test positive for the next few months, and supplied me with a recovery letter, but seems risky to rely upon.
Any advice would be appreciated.
I currently have a ticket to arrive in San Jose later this week.

Just wanted to share that am currently in Orosi these past few days traveling with a friend. She is returning to the US on Tuesday. Today (Sunday) we went to the University Hospital in Cartago around 2:00 so she could get her Covid test. We were in and out in about 45 minutes. Easy Peezy. Her results e-mailed to her in barely 2 hours. Piece of Cake.
