I've seen guys take their own bottles to the bartenders at SL and the bartender puts their name on the bottle. What's the charge for doing that?

I believe they are buying the bottle from the bar. The bar puts their name on it and stores it behind the bar for them. The price is going to depend on the quality of the liquor. I’m not aware they let you bring in your own for a fee. But I could be wrong.

I would doubt they would keep any bottle behind the bar without a proper Costa Rica tax stamp. That would eliminate any Duty Free liquor.

I did it a few years back. Bottle of Ketel One. They put my name on the bottle and I wasn’t the only bottle in the group. Don’t know current practice.

You buy the bottle from the bartender and they put your name on it and keep it behind the bar for future use.
I usually buy a bottle of Flor de Cana for about 30 bucks.

Back in the day I knew a few people that kept several bottles at all the bars that had that service like the Mona Lisa and maybe a few others. Until I saw that, I thought I was a heavy drinker!!!
