https://hoteldelrey.com/ The Website is working. They're either messing with us or there are plans to reopen. I will break up with my GF (or not even say a word  ) and venture into the belly of the beast if they're reopening. Too many good memories here.

I just luv the photo gallery. Yeah it truly be a family hotel.

The website and phone number could be a scam. Be careful.

Just called and the DR is expected to open back up in approximately two weeks. I didn't ask if it's "family friendly" but judging by the pictures on the website, I have to say no!!!

Looks like I'm either breaking up with my GF or keeping my next vacation on the DL for the DR. :D

The website is also showing Key Largo as part of the operation, the government took over the Key Largo building and turning it into a cultural center. Whoever is managing the website has some cleaning up to do.

DR is expected to open back up and without at least changing the name, DR will always have that rep of being a whore hotel. Seems doomed if new leadership isn't rebranding. I'm thinking not a family friendly hotel and anyone is welcome to call the number and ask about Key Largo. I asked only about DR. I didn't ask if DR was family friendly or maintaining their reputation as a whore hotel.

I called and talked to Randall who said will be a slow opening (no lube?) sometime this week. I was straight forward and asked him if it would be returning to its old glory and be a place for men to meet the finest thing in life and he assured me it would be the same as before but the casino would not be open at first. He did say they were looking into covid-related restrictions to make sure they adhere to the CR policies.

The web site is updated to announce opening February 9. The municipality has been complaining about the gringo waiting in the lawn chair on the sidewalk.

Smart to get it open before the gringo crowd rolls into town for the super bowl!
