there are 3 threads running here where a lot of pro's are attacking the new guy.

*CR First Timer*
*Clues that let you know when you are hooked on CR*
*Which CRT Newbie trait annoys you the most?*

there does seem to be few 'old-timers' that like to "tell you what to do",
with all the authority of a policeman. i don't mind so much as it is like that in life every where else i go.
i take what works for me and ignore the rest.
everyone has a different idea of the best TICA friend, and what they expect from her.
we are all different. viva la difference!
it is a great forum.
pro's: go easy
newbies: don't let it bother you
vegas bob: tell me how you see it after you get some more rest

Point taken Mi-Amor,
(eeww, I think you need a new name! )
However, I must respectfully disagree with your observations.
1) What is the one common denominator in those 3 threads?

Quote:

2) In general some of the old vets can come across that way at times, but in this case there seems to be a new guy telling the 'old-timers' what to do...
3) This forum has done fine since it's inception with the occasional bump in the road, so like others, I also wonder about someone that posts 81 times in 10 days that seems bent on telling us all how things should be done, creating this divisiveness between newbie and vets, and stirring up conflict by lashing out to get a response and then claiming to be a victim.
There has been the occasional "guy with a resentment" from the old board come in and cause a ruckus and I must wonder if this is what's going on here.
If not then I suggest settling down, quit playing these games and getting back to sharing info and experiences and having fun.

Paco if you have a problem with me then i suggest you either PM me or post it directed at me than just post little snips on my threads and then bitch about me on someone elses threads.

Could it be that the reason why i post so much is because i truely enjoy the board and the members? Have i told people DO THIS or DONT DO THAT? The only occasion i have even come close to that was in a thread that was petty, imature and snobbish toward newbies. After i have done that i have gotten resentment from certain older posters who have the "how dare he voice his opinion" mentality.

At fist i was taken aback because it took me by surprise to see such venom suddenly appear on the board. As for my threads i started one as a joke that was really well recieved until someone took it too seriously and threw a hissy fit when i called him on it.

Maybe i have taken things to seriously like that poster. So my bad. But just because you have been here longer doesnt give you the excuse to be rude and mean to newer posters. Like King Costa said we have all been newbies at one time. So i suggest you stop taking shots at me, because honestly i think both you and me dont want to make a big deal about something thats really quite silly.

I am off line for 36 hours and the sh*t hits the fan.
When I am in the States I spend way too much time on the net reading this forum.
Why?
I suppose It is because I am suffering withdrawal symptoms, and am immature and shallow.
That works for me!
Anyway, If Coqui enjoys posting, I enjoy reading it.

OK I HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS!!!!!!!! I let it go for a couple of days with hope that this would simply move down the lines like everything else, but before this escalates any further it stops NOW!

I am not going into details, JUST THAT IT STOPS! Nuff SAID!

What we don't want here is for Newbies to feel intimidated to Post.. This is an open forum and the new blood is what keeps it alive!

The calming influence of ADMIN 1 Saves the day again. Thanks ADMIN 1. Now for the rest of us. Wouldn't it be a shame if we all looked, thought, acted and felt the same. Yes, it is true that this board serves many purposes. When we are not in CR, it keeps us in tune and connected. When we need info, it is only a post away. When everything within us wants to be "THERE" and " NOT HERE", we can just come on line and connect with those who are. It is obvious that some newbies should do a lot of reading before they post and ask previously answered questions. It is obvious to me that some are here for entertainment purposes only and may never even make that "maiden voyage". So be it...lets keep it fun, informational and compassionate. Lets treat each other with respect in the same way we treat the girls. Nuff Said, Pura Vida
