We will have to see how all this shapes up in the near future. Alot of man-tourists had already moved vacations out of San Jose in favor of Jaco.
Perhaps San Jose will be for locals and gringo residents, with a smaller man-tourist footprint.
While the main website is under construction, their facebook pagoe is up with current posts and maintains a distinctly man-tourist focus.

I still think that there is not an unlimited market for family travelers and eco tourists, who tend to pass though the Gulch briefly in the way to other destinations in the country. In other words, there is still money to be made from monger guests.
