Post subject:  Why do the Columbians Go to CR and Not Panama?

From everything I've read, the girls are much more expensive in Panama than CR. Why do they come to CR, instead of going to Panama, which is closer to Columbia, and where they can make more money, right?

What Jsmythe said. :o
Although when I asked where my chica would go if not CR, Panama was answer #2. It seems the volume in CR is greater.

I have to agree with all of the above. There are a lot of colombiana here in Panama, but there is no Del Rey, and many of the Colombianas shack up with others in CR, so the rent is next to nothing. Most of the Colombianas here in Panama are dancers at strip clubs, and work afterhours and during the day. Also, they are held prisoners at some of the MPs, but you can arrange them for daytimes and offdays as well.

:D They used to, but then the army left and with it 15,000 swinging Richards. They go where the gringo dicks are.

My short answers...

There are more gringos in CR than Panama

They are therefore closer to their VISA to US of A

I dont at all agree cost of living is cheaper in CR. From cars, apts, food and drink...everything seems about 20-30% cheaper in Panama for what you get.

The Colombianas that want to go to CR instead of Panama have never been to CR.

Legal aspects:

What are the legal aspects of pursuing this profession in Panama as opposed to Costa Rica. Are thay more exposed to legal prosecution in Panama?

I am pretty sure prostitution is legal in Panama. Tman? How many Colombianas do you think are working in CR? I would bet there are more in Panama.
There is a traveling circuit of colombianas that go to Sint Maarten for 3 months, home for 6 weeks, Aruba for 3 months, home for 6 weeks and then to Curicel(sp?) for 3 months and repeat the cycle.

Yes my man you are so right. And I love everyone of those guys who pay $400. They keep the pond known as the Blue Marlin full of grade A fish.

Most of the experienced Colombianas in CR like the "independent" contrator mode available at the Delrey...and they have less competition because they see the Ticas as much "lower class". In Panama, prostition is legal, pimping not...just like CR. But, there are MANY more Colombianas there because they need no VISA to go to Panama as a tourist, so more competition amongst themselves. Plus, most of the joints there pay to import these girls and so it is a form of "servitude" I dont really like. I have had a Colombiana literally cry on my shoulder about how harsh the working conditions are in Panama and they see CR as a big step up for them. It's tougher getting into CR for them...which may be a challenge factor that makes them want to go all that much more.

FYI...there are some new immigration laws being passed in Panama like in CR to control illegals. Personally I hope it doesnt make a major impact on the Colombiana supply in Panama...because it will also impact the supply in CR. Most of them come to CR via Panama.
