It's been a few years since I have been in Costa Rica but I take a look at CRT about once a month. The scene has changed since I started coming down in 2006 or 2007. Some of us have migrated to other places. Some of us have gone to the big brothel in the sky and other's like myself have married and are living a more sedate life. Life goes on and sooner or later we all move on one way or another. But I digress. For the last several years when looking at the Tica of the month I have noticed that they all, every single one of them, is tatted up. My question to those of you still active on the ground in CR is..."Is there a single Tica that does not have a tattoo left in Costa Rica? |

And with the rising incidence of obesity, all of these tats are expanding too. It used to be that only Jessica, the former bartender at Chubbs and earlier at HDR, was the tattoo phenomenon. When the movie stars stop getting them, the fad will fade. |

i have no problem w tats even though most girls i have known don't have many or any for that matter even the putatas seem to not have them no se por que but the ones i can't stand are the bows on the back of the legs or across the chest ugh |

The emphasis there is on good and perhaps size and placement too, but what is with all the ribbons? Did some tattoo artist offer a special on them? |

I cannot stand INK, and just wanna see the PINK. Sorry but I see nothing attractive about the over the top amounts of ink the girls are putting on their bodies. I do not care to be looking at cartoons while I am in the middle of enjoying myself. |

I often wonder what motivates an attractive woman to buy an ugly tattoo that will be with them for life. Do they believe it adds to their attractiveness? Do they think they are making a personal statement and that it is one that they will still feel that strongly about in five, ten or fifteen years? Is it the ultimate lifetime cave in to peer pressure? I have friends whose teenager wanted one and they offered to pay for it on the condition that their teenager decide on the exact tattoo they wanted and wait one year and if that was the tattoo they still wanted a year later they would pay for it. Three years later and three re-thinkings later the idea was dropped. |

Here in Florida every strip mall has a tattoo 'artist'. It is probably not possible to go more than two miles without passing a tattoo shop. Probably the biggest growth industry in America based on narcissism. I wonder how much the average tattoo 'artist' pulls down a year and what are the requirements to become one? Hell I think I will buy a needle and get some ink and open a shop. |
