I admit this is kind of unusual to ask here, but do grocery stores have shopping carts in SJ like stores here ?

I'll be staying at a furnished apartment and plan to do some cooking, but grocery shopping might be a problem as some place like Mas y Menos. I have bad knees and wondering how I'm going to get the stuff back to my aparthotel.

If I catch a cab, will he normally wait until I shop and help me so I'm not standing on the street with bags of groceries. Or perhaps someone knows of a senora who helps with errends like that and gets paid by the hour she helps you.

Any suggestions would be mucho appreciated.

They have small carts. And hand baskets.

Planning to come down for Super Bowl weekend and for a month following it. Planned on staying at the Linda Vista but now informed that there is nothing available there for that period.

Be staying at the Pres for about 10 days in November. Can anyone give a recommendation (with an email and/or) telephone number of a chica with the following prerequisites.

Really Jose...when are you going to CR? Aren't you in CR right now? Are you going to CR really or are you here just asking all kinds of questions. Inquiring mind wants to Know.

Jose,

All groceries store like mas x menos, auto mercado or others have the carts however, they will not allow you to take with you.

Some stores might have K*ds that will take care of you if you live close by.

If you live far and you need to take a cab, my best suggestion is to settle with the cab driver the fare for the waiting time and then have him help you out to put all your bags in the cab or see if any K*D will help you as well.

A taxi is so cheap that you will not mind using it with a load of groceries.

Don't most of the grocery stores already have cabs waiting outside? He can't be the only guy in this predicament?

TexR;
It has been my experience that the larger supermarkets usually do have one or two outside just for the reason you would need one. Also, its always a good idea to make a freind out of a taxi driver who lives in the same area you do.
