If you are new to CRT or have been lurking on this board let me describe my Costa Rica experience. I came here on vacation 12 years ago. I met someone special and have had a continual relationship with her since then. My first impression of San Jose was landing at night, getting a racetrack taxi ride into town to the Sportsman’s Lodge. I was happy to have survived the ride. The taxi driver only had one speed. Foot on the floor. I did see enough of the city to see houses with heavy burglar bars and barbed wire. The city appeared to be dirty and run down in places. I was a little hesitant to go out exploring on my own. I met women at the Sportsman’s and ventured as far as Zona Blue (now 506) and the Del Rey. The Del Rey was a little intimidating with hundreds of women all over me from the instant I walked in. I picked the first one that spoke English to me. It was a very mediocre experience. The guy who took me over to the Rey grabbed one and took off in less than 5 minutes leaving me at their mercy. After living with the woman that I met on the first trip for a year so, I became bored and needed to earn a little extra spending money. I had learned a lot more about the scene by this time and I started guiding newbies as a paid wingman. That was the start of an incredible time here.
I was forced to learn the scene here much better than I known it at the time. I learned how to monger and how to party from observing my customers. Many had been doing it for years. Just not here. I learned that any man can be with beautiful young women for company that can include sex if you desire if you understand one thing. It is always about the money. If you live in the United States you have a distorted idea of the dynamics of relationships. Traditional relationships of meeting one girl and being with her for your entire life are still dependent on your perceived ability to provide a comfortable life for her. You go through an evaluation process where you have to meet minimal standards. Women are not looking to work and provide for you just because you look good and were a good football player. The truck driver may be a real hunk but the owner of the trucking company gets the hot blonde. Costa Rica levels the playing field. You do not have to be rich or handsome to be with incredibly beautiful women here. I am living proof. I have limited resources and am close to 70 years old. I party with women that Hollywood actors would have no problem being seen with.
Last week I took a beautiful 25 year old woman to visit a picturesque town we had never seen before. It was a great day trip; hike in the mountains; visit to the oldest church in Costa Rica; lounged in a hot spring; relaxing lunch in a local restaurant. We spent 7 hours together. I compensated her for her time, $40, lunch cost less than $20, entry into hot springs $12, transportation $15 (my car). A great date cost me less than $100. I did not have sex with her. I did not have to pay her for her time. I chose to because I could afford to, I knew she could use the money and I really enjoyed her company and wish to do it more often. Two nights later I was invited to a birthday party for a twenty five year old new acquaintance. He is young and handsome with many women friends. The party is at a cabin on a coffee plantation, high on the side of a mountain in an area described by another friend as the end of the world. There were a couple dozen young (18 to 25) year old girls at this party, a dj provided music, lots of drinking and dancing. Reminded me of my youth at college fraternity parties. The girls there were not prostitutes. I had no desire to insult any of them by hitting on them. I enjoyed people watching. I impressed one of them because my friend asked why I left early because the girl he introduced me to was asking about me later. I have discovered that life here is an adventure and it is what you make of it.
Guiding newbies here I frequently observe guys get too involved too fast. I was probably guilty of this too. Men who have lacked attention for a long time are vulnerable to over committing to the first girl they meet. The best advice I can give is to take your time and be patient. Women are easier to find than they are to get rid of.
Costa Rica is close (a few hour flight from southern cities), a beautiful place to visit and explore, with a wide range of accommodations, great food, and easy to locate companionship. Most Americans are stressed to the max, afraid to try something new, wished their lives were different but hesitant to take the first step. Costa Rica has been a life changing adventure to myself and many of my friends and former customers. You owe it to yourselves to explore the idea of a trip here. I prefer it the Trophy Blonde however my beer budget here precludes that so I am heading back down next month to get my prizes ST basis! Luv it there ever since I began going in 2005 and started mongering (there) in 2008!! And as POPS mentioned so much more to do and people to meet outside the gulch when taking a break from mongering.
