Post subject:  HDR and new trends in San Jose

A lot has been posted about the HDR lately. This past 4th of July holiday week may reinforce some of the observations. Maybe all the 'tourists' went directly to the beach from the airport bypassing San Jose, who knows. The HDR has been changing over the last couple of years with a visible drop in occupancy and increasing number of ticos coming to hang out .
Last night there were numerous eager, hungry ladies and fewer available clients. Most of the ladies went home broke. But some did conduct business; but not like you might think. There is an invisible economy going on that has increased due to technology.

I know a nice lady from the Dominical area who comes to the HDR some weekends and leaves Monday mornings. She used whats app to let me know she was coming and we met at the Colonial Casino and then shared a wonderful time. Then she left to meet another client at the Holiday Inn. On this trip she transacted business, made some money, and never set foot in the HDR the whole time.

This is one example how what's app, facebook, and direct communication, etc.. has changed the landscape. There is probably just as much business being conducted outside the HDR from personal contacts than what we see inside the HDR. Many former HDR ladies are now appointment only and don't strut their stuff in the Lobby Bar anymore.

There are still some independent talent to be found at the HDR, but there is alot of action going on behind the scenes.

Let me premise this by saying that I'm no fan of the HDR for a few reasons, but those reasons are not important to the point I will be making. Despite my lack of affection for the HDR, I stepped in there pretty late this past Friday and Saturday nights. I was very surprised at how few chicas there were.

I hear Jaco is the place to be these days. OP, what you said sounds very accurate.

I've heard about the increasing use of FB and WhatsApp as a platform to connect with girls but sure would like to know where to begin. Is there a technique to finding them on FB (or WhatsApp) or is the mostly a case of where you meet a girl at wherever and she gives you her FB contact info?

You would meet them and exchange numbers. Facebook is not a good option in CR, but I understand it is used widely to meet strangers in Medellin

The scene is San Jose continues to decline from its heyday in the 2006 to 2012 period. Some will deny or get angry but we all know it is true. Fun can still be had but it is far and away less fun than it once was.

I use FB quite a lot but I live here. I have quite a number of friends but I don't start asking about sex until I am ready. I look for young women with brats. I get turned down frequently but so what. I nonnegotiable offer is 30000 for an unspecified amount of time and I use one of the by hour Hotel/Motels. I've never tried whatsapp I am only one person on a budget.

I forgot to mention that FB offers up friends based on what you normally select. I have one FB page only for babes from CR and select the ones I might do to just adjust the balance. Also FB is used a lot by women but you have to check carefully as it is a worldwide source.

Wait! You live in CR and don't use the single most popular free WiFi call-and-texting app in CR?

It's not a dating app. It's the way everyone in CR calls and messages everyone else.

That is very much correct. I started going in the early 2000’s and from that time until maybe 2010 or 2011 it was like a real brotherhood. San Jose and Cr in general was a fabulous place to hang out. Then about 6 years or so ago I began to notice the decline. I guess the word got out and every Tom, “Dick” and Harry started discovering CR. and things just began to change for the worse of course. I think smaller was better.

I still return but just less frequently.

I never have any problems finding pretty chicas - usually when I'm waiting on my pretty, skinny, hot novia.

Don't be discouraged by the "Negative Nellies". You will have a blast.

I concur. I even went at Christmas time and I had a blast. Yes there were less chicas but it only takes one or two a day for me. also, there were much less guys and that equates to more flexible chicas and faster service at the bar.

well gee whiz MM3, praise the Lord and digital mongering! Your pretty, skinny girlfriend is just about the only one to be found in this godforsaken desert of a supposed monger destination. The lead to this thread was very interesting and what I suspected all along. That the hot females are now in the cellphone. And if you got no cellphone, or no phucking cellphone network setup (exactly like in Medellin) then you're plumb out of luck.

Which is why I will be getting my ass back to Angeles City, where such digital networking exists, but is not freaking necessary. Because I, without BADOO or WHATSAPP or TINDR or LATINFREAKINGCUPID can walk 30 paces and find a 40-kilo chick. Yes, without a network. Imaginate!

Digital mongering? I meet chicas and if I like them I get their WhatsApp number. And then I know how to text them since no one (a slight exaggeration) in CR doesn't use WhatsApp for texts and calls.

I know about cr(dot) skokka (dot)com; Wanuncios; Badoo and Tinder and have used them (some). But I've also picked up shop girls and bank tellers (just as frequently).

By all means head back to AC if that's what you want, but there is plenty of talent in CR.
