Discovering mongering in 2015, I just do not understand the level of hate that a few here have toward CD. I've never seen anything he has said or done. So I can't truly judge for myself.

But the "evidence" people have given here seems little more than him being a douchebag.

I have heard only 3 accusations:

1. He is an arrogant prick.

Ok. So what. Many people here and in CR are arrogant pricks. No reason to ban.

2. He promoted Mongering in CR and DR.

Good for him. I wish more people promoted it. Then maybe I would have discovered it when I was 20 instead of 40. It could have saved me a lot of money lost in divorces.

Prostitution is legal in CR, not sure but I think in DR as well. So why not provide accurate information to those seeking it? Of course the prudes in the government are going to crab about it. They can go Phuck themselves. It's legal. And if we all don't like someone talking about mongering, and giving details, then we all better stop posting and shut this site down. No reason to ban.

3. He posted pictures of girls.

Ok. A serious douchebag move. But where? On his website? Or some mongering message boards in English? I have a hard time believing that any Tico fathers or boyfriends were trolling Gringo mongering sites checking to see if their daughter/girlfriend was a hooker. Unless they already suspected it.

Regardless, since the photos are restricted to the VIP section, he's got no ability to do that here. So no reason to ban.

so word definitely got out to friends and families and even if they knew it was an embarrassment for them in their barrio/community in a lot of cases
i saw it up close and sometimes it wasn't even a specific girl but pictures of girls in ZB that were trying not to be in the pictures
yes the are putas accepting money for their asses but does that make it ok to splash their face all over the internet?
what if these girls decided to start taking pictures of us and posting them would that be cool w you?
and he wasn't the only guy doing it just the most prolific and self promoting
the business owners didn't mind it for the most part since he was putting asses in the racks and at the bar
and like you said it was a good source of information just like this site used to be
if a guy is thinking about venturing into the unknown its nice to have someone provide a road map
was it all his fault? idts but he was certainly a contributor to the perfect storm of 08, the desire to decrease the sex tourism flow and a big turd posting smiling pictures w their women.

No. I don't think that is cool. But I don't necessarily think a photo on a private message board is "all over the internet". Maybe this site was much different back then. But I don't see that happening now at all.



I'd be fine with that. Maybe I am different than most people. But I am not ashamed of my actions and choices. I don't talk about phucking hookers with my parents or K*ds. But if they saw photos, I'd discuss it with them openly and without shame.

And unless I was naked, it would just be me with a bunch of young sexy, scantaliy clad vixens. Nothing to be embarassed about.



I'd really love to hear more about this. I've heard a lot of complaining about CD and complaining about how things aren't as good as they used to be. but I've never heard anything about a specific series of events that caused problems. What happened? Was it one big thing? Or a series of events? Was CD directly involved or the cause?

From my perspective, my first time to Costa Rica was late 2015. And I've had nothing but good times at SL, HDR, and Cocal. A few slows nights around Christmas and a few duds. But all in all great. How much different than now was it?

I've read everything that I can find and you can read my understanding above. If you have any specific links on CRT or elsewhere, please post them and I'll gladly read them to understand.

I'm not a CD defender. Never met the guy or read any of his posting here or elsewhere. All I know is the secondhand hate I see here.

And telling any Government to Phuck off is never easy. They outnumber you and they have lots of guns. But ALL governments are illegitimate. And they can ALL Phuck off!
