Welcome back!

I remember meeting you while you were sitting at the back bar table at SL using an iPad. You were the first monger I knew who travelled with one.

Sadly, CR and CRT isn't what it once was.

Best wishes for a speedy and joyful recovery,

mh

I can't help you much with your questions because I am lucky to be an old guy in good health. My little sister is dead, and my little brother has a pacemaker and no prostate gland. But I'm lucky - - - and I don't know why.

I just want to say that I haven't heard a story more inspiring yours. Keep on keeping on :!: :!:

Hopefully you will not need it but if for any reason you need to go to a hospital in Costa Rica. Cima is the place to go. I have quit going to US doctors as they just want to band aid things and the doctors in Costa Rica were able to get me back to health. It is pay as you go but you can submitt you bills to your insurance when you get home or via email to get reimbursed. I would get the results of blood draws in 2-3 hours so they are fast as well. My only bitch is paying for parking there.

As far as medical insurance, I have an annual "executive" policy with Allianz Travel Insurance (medical, evacuation, travel insurance).

I picked Allianz because the three top private hospitals (CIMA, Clinica Biblica, and Clinica Catholica) take it.

They used to do the American Express insurance and I used to have a policy with them but Amex discontinued the program I was enrolled in. I will look into going thru them directly as the benefits were pretty damn good and they did not have restrictions on where you went.

If anyone wants to check it out here is the link for the policy MM3 mentioned. I just purchased the same one for $459.00.

Thank you for posting the link. I am unexpectedly at our Lodge and doing things from my phone.

Hope you get well soon Boynton. I think I met you years ago at the Hooters Reunion at the Hard Rock in Hollywood, FL, but I might be mistaken. Anyway, here a link to a site about some hospitals in Cost Rica:
