Didn't know where to put this, or even post this at all, but here's something I recently thought of which is kind of sad and funny at the same time. I'm 43 years old/young and recently divorced...happily divorced I might add. Tried to put a quick dollar amount the whole wedding process ended up costing 9 yrears ago. Between the ring, reception, honeymoon and all the other bullsh*t that goes with it, I would guess around $50,000. Like the saying goes..."If I only knew then what I know now!" For instance how would so many of our lives be different if we had gone to Costa Rica first, combined with the recources of this board! Looking back, I don't think I would have done it! And how many trips would $50,000 cover!!! And what about how much many of us pay to the ex-wives every month! Anyone else ever have these thoughts? |

PROWLER, Really, $ 50,000 is very reasonable, not knowing your specific circumstances. I have been married and divorced twice with a total of twenty years combined between the two. The second was my mistake. However, if I had been able to leave with that small a liability per Ex I would be retired right now. Take care Bro, and your situation was not that bad. Denver |
