I am heading to Costa Rica in May for my first trip. I will be going around the country but I am arriving a day in advance of my non-mongering buddy. In my ideal world, what I would like is to spend that day with a nice, English-speaking Tica, hanging out and phucking a few times. I am willing to pay a bit more for efficiency, quality and english speaking - like 250-350 for a nice girlfriend attitude and GFE girl for dinner, evening and breakfast, maybe away from district so she might loosen up (oft quoted advice for good TLN here). From what I can tell that is doable.

How would you suggest I go about doing this? Am I in escort agency territory, or do I show up and spend time trying to pull someone from one of the normal places? And suggestions appreciated.

Offering to pay $250 - $300 will not make you very many friends here on CRT.

That said, with the limited time you have to "hunt" you will be better off finding an escort service. Good Luck.

After many trips, I found mi novia. We hang out, spend the night, etc. She isn't really my girlfriend - she has a real life, etc. - but we have a good time


The chances of walking into the HDR and finding such a "transactional girlfriend" out of the box are nada.

I would go to either HDR or the SL and try to pull something from there. I would personally go to the SL first and try to get something there since they are not as sharky as the HDR, but it sounds like you probably will arrive early so maybe HDR has few more girls during the day. I think that's a fair price for what you ask for, you are paying for quality and a good time, and is your only mongering day, nothing wrong with that. Tough feat to accomplish but best of luck.

I think an escort agency might run you wayy more than what you are planning to spend but I don't know for sure.

If I have ingested the information on the site right, TLN can be negotiated generally for around $200. So given some of the things I need, english-speaking and some time constraints I want to give myself some upward flexibility. My strategy would be to try and pull for the more customary price with the promise of a nice healthy propina if she delivers the experience I want. However, I am here asking for advice for a reason. I just wanted to lay out my general budget thoughts so I could get the best advice possible. Generally, I would prefer a more GFE/girlfriend attitude experience with a fun girl than pulling multiple girls even though I am kind of putting all my eggs in one basket. Any advise besides the good advise on here for how to interview a girl for TLN, on how I can best mitigate my risk (like how to structure a deal so if it doesn't work out it is easy to cut her loose and try again) is appreciated.

What hotel would someone recommend a bit away from the scene that a girl is likely to loosen up in, but is also friendly to working girls?

What you are attemping is not something I'd recommend for a 1st timer with one day and limited spanish.

But you didn't ask for a blessing so...

You will be able to determine english fluency pretty quick. So it comes down to a conversation and articulating what you want. You did a very effective job of it in your post. You're going to have to talk/interview prospects. One challenge you will find is that many of these chicas have Babi*s to run back to. A date day/TLN scenario requires a bit of planning. You don't have that luxury.

Hopefully someone can help on the hotel bit. I've either stayed in the thick of the scene or done a private rental. And a private rental is not right for your scenario.

Whatever you do, don't arrange something in advance sight unseen. Poobear's recommendation around starting at SL is as good as any.

I speak French fluently. Unless there are some French Guianan's around I don't think that will help me very much. I will give it my best shot and worse case I end up with a couple of nice girls instead of my TLN. Things could be worse. :D

As an option you might look at Craigslist for costa rica but if I was the one doing it I would be very up front with the girls and let them know that if they show up at the meeting place and they do not look like the pics they have sent you, you will cancel on them. Also be very direct on what you want and that includes any sexual deeds or desires so there is no miscommunication. The nice thing about having some time is you can email back and forth and possible get a connection going but keep in mind they are probably lying the majority of the time. Also you might dangle the carrot in front of them in such a way as to tell them you will pay them 25% up front and the balance when the negotiated time is up. Don't forget to make sure they know you will pay for food and drinks but you are not going to be buying SHRIMP and DON JULIO all the time. I would also mention a tip at the end if the service has been very good and don't be cheap on the tip. I would throw out there 10% if WE have a Good Time, 20% for a Great Time and 25-30% for an Incredible Time. Give her a reason to keep up the fantasy. I would also let her know that you expect her undivided attention and if she spends too much time on her phone, or has drama issues, the deal is over and she keeps the 25% but nothing more than cab or bus fare. Getting this all out upfront and making sure she is very aware of it will make for a more relaxing and fun time if you find a girl that fits what you are looking for. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT PAY UP FRONT AND DO NOT GIVE HER MORE THAN 25-30% OF ERNEST MONEY!

I don't think its realistic to show up, first time, in San Jose, and immediately find a girl that meets some fairly specific parameters in the HDR or the SL for a fairly specific experience.

I know a really nice woman (not girl) that would fit the bill, but she has no English - and how do any of us know if you'd click?

As far as hotels, you have a two part problem.

First, outside of the chica friendly hotels, you need to register her at check in. How do you do that when you don't have a clue who she is?

Secondly, she has to be comfortable with it.

Now, the other issue is that some chica will agree to everything sitting in the Blue Marlin and then start backpedaling as soon as you get in the hotel. Her K*ds are sick, her mom is sick, she's sick, whatever.

I lucked into mi novia. She's smart and has good business sense - and she's honest (despite being a notorious international criminal being hunted by the OIJ). I'm a good customer who treats her well. And she treats me well.

Very helpful everyone. Thanks! I kind of assumed I have to get really lucky but you are helping me maximize my chances - as slim as they may be. And I will definitely have a backup strategy in place giving strict guidelines when I move to it.

I would just stay at the sportsman and work the bar being upfront on your requirements... worst case is you bang a few chicas and eat breakfast with some other liek minded mongerers instead...

for one night first timer the logistics at SL would be ideal and if you dont reach your TLN goal it wont be that bad of a night as your commute wont be far..

and for your budget dont be shy to ask for exactly what you want, just heed the advice to not pay upfront
