Just spent an hour in traffic trying to get to San Jose. Anyone arriving tonight or Sunday if your driver does not know the bridge going to San Jose is closed you are screwed. Prepare for a long wait in phucked up traffic if you take the freeway. God forbid you are in a taxi you get at the airport. That bill will be insane. The way to the airport is currently open and traffic is not affected. |

I could be wrong but it is my belief that the bridge closure is ongoing for quite some time. Not sure how to double check on this . Anyone? Also if anyone is coming in from the beach on the old Coastal Hwy from Puntarenas, the area around Naranjo is also experiencing long delays due to road work and I think that's ongoing too. THere's a web site to check on this stuff but I'm not sure where it is. |

I know its a fad - but I just typed "bridge closure san jose cr" into that google search thingy and all sorts of info popped up. |

The thing that gets me is there is no signage what so ever, that you are headed into a closed section of highway. Once you find out, there is no where to go but straight ahead, where all 3 lanes converge into 1 lane over a bridge. You would think they would at a minimum put up a sign before the last exit that the bridge is closed. |

It is basically 2or 3 lanes both directions that converge into one lane each way over the bridge...not a huge deal if traffic is light, but up to a couple of hours or more delay if traffic is heavy. And it isn't that people driving don't know. Just limited other options since they're all backed up as well... basically 2 lane way to go south through Santa Anna or 2 lane streets north and around through Alajuela and Heredia. |

I just left SJ this past Tuesday. Had an early morning Delta Flight. We left the Sportsmen's at 5:30 a.m. and arrived at the airport at exactly 7:00 (a.m.) |
