Since I have been married and divorced to Gringas twice,I feel qualified to comment on this topic. How can this possibly be a successful venture when it begins with "Till death do us part" Even Alcoholics Annonymous preaches "One day at a time"

Bob, the "death" part is when you die and she "parts" with all your shit.

Any Lawyers out there. I'm separated, not yet divorced. What's the deal on pensions? She gets a percentage of it (she doesn't have her own), based on how many years we were married? Is that the scoop?

Guess I need to look into that...?

Hey Jazz,

I'm not a lawyer but I am going thru a divorce right now. I've been married for 5 years here in CA. That 5yrs is considered community property. In other words she gets 2 and a half years worth.

With all due respect Jazz that question can not be answered here. Divorce is not a federal statue it is a state statue and therefore differs depending on many factors, where were you married, where were you domiciled, where did you file for divorce, are there k*ds, is she employable, etc etc, etc.

And if you did get an answer here, including this one, how accurate is it?
