Ok for you locals who live here, what do you do for phone service when you venture to Nica, Panama,
& Colombia. I have only a Kolbi pre-paid chip (and a Claro pre-paid). The Kolbi website (Spanish) infers you can only get roaming service for post-paid chips/accounts.
1. Can you buy pre-paid chips in Pamama & Colombia just like CR?
2. If you buy pre-paid chips then nobody has your number for calls, sms and whatsapp, so how
do you guys manage this when you travel outside C.R.?

Yes. That is the first thing I do when traveling is get a sim card for a local number.

Claro advertises that their phones work all over central America at your same local rates (no roaming).
