RIP to one of the original explorers of San Jose. A south florida fellow and always a gentlman. He was always helpful and passed along great knowledge and wisdom.
If anyone knows the details, please PM me.

Don Gordo had been fighting esophageal cancer for some time He was also recently admitted to the hospital with pneumonia.

Have not heard the exact cause of death (his daughter posted his passing on Facebook). When I see an obituary notice I will post in this thread.

Don Gordo was one of the first members I met on my initial trip to San Jose back in early 2005 A finer gentlemen could not be found, always a smiling face and a wealth of information

Whether it be rooting against his Pats or just shooting the shit at SL, Idem (with his good friend Don Papi) or other hangouts in and around the Gulch was always good to see his smiling face..

For those who knew him well he will be forever remembered fondly and as a legendary member here :)

RIP brother you will be missed

Sorry sorry to see this. Don Gordo was a fantastic guy who went out of way to show guys how to have fun. Never forget my first trip and meeting him in Idem. My condolences to his family and all those whose lives he touched...

You and me both; and I'm sure scores of others.

It's funny using words like pioneer and trailblazer for this "hobby" but if anybody would be called that in reference to CR, it would be him. And he was a nice guy too, helpful to anybody who asked.

RIP my friend. May you find new places to play without the discomforts of cancer. I hope to share a bar stool with you again down the road, and hear whats been happening since you left us.

Like another mentioned this gentleman opened up CR to me. This was back in 2002 when I came across his small and entertaining website. I always wanted to meet me him but never had the chance. Thanks Don for all you did for us. I`m feeling sad today.
