Actually, the law doesn't seem to cover 'walks', as it has no 'international' coverage, and uses no social media outlets. The sky isn't falling here, just relax.

The law does say "any medium", air is a medium through which verbal communication happens it is remarkable though that the law was written so vaguely.

The 'vagueness' of a law means nothing. The specific case tests these ideas. As for CD, they are claiming that video on youtube and other sites constitutes 'a medium'. They might not bother with his blog posts and messages, because it's a bit harder to link them (ie. "I didn't post that!"). In the end, his face will convict him, if anything.

In regards to the use of medium, in reality it was not all that long ago, the internet as we now know it did not exist, locales such as youtube and facebook did not exist, this covers them for anything in existence currently and what may evolve in the future without having to rewrite laws every few years.
