I can t believe I almost fell for the old Bartender scam. I was chatting with a friend the other day at a table.(male non member CRT) at the lobby bar. I ordered us a drink from the waitress LADRONA I gave her a 10,000 col note which I never do but I didn t get change for earlier bad move.......... She brings me my beer and the wrong mixed dring for my friend. She does a quick razzle dazzle and returns with my change with 1000 change. I looked at it and my friend and I agreed that the two drinks shouldn t cost me 9000 col. ($18) So I walked over and brought the change to her. The piece of shit triend to tell me I gave her 5000. Obviously she didn t recognize me as a regular. When I raised my voice she went to the register and gave me another another 6000.Be carefull out there Gringos.

It's a scam a minute!!!! Taxis, bartenders,street beggars, Chicas. I love the CR but the constant vigil & having to be on guard 24-7 is exasperating. I know an ounce of prevention yadda,yadda,yadda!!! It would be nice to be able to let your guard down but I guess it's like that every where in the world!

Especially if you become a regular customer, be on the lookout.

this last trip 1 bartender flat out lied to me about the price of 4 Imperial silvers. Told me the cost was 10k, realizing I was being cheated I went to another bartender to haggle for my change. The DR "where the customer comes last" should be their motto. Yet no matter how bad they treat me I'm back the next night for the hot chicas. :twisted:
