The little restaurant across from La Amistad now has beer and mixed drinks. They have all the local beers for 1000 colones. They also have Heineken and Corona, but I don't know the price. The beer is very cold. They have a basic selection of mixed drinks from 1000 to 1500 colonies. I went there this evening to check it out. A nice friendly lady is the bartender/waitress. The name of the place is Star View. It is open until 9 pm. |

2 years ago it was all closed up. Last year I think it must have been under different owners, didn't look to busy. This month I saw it under the new banner & advertising the 1000 beers ( and some food, I think). Looks like it's quite a bit busier now. Might be a nice change of scenery for those at LA & SL since its so close. |

I walked up there last January as I was told they had good empanadas or something like that and they were closed. |
