Sounds like the Sunday Morning Soccer match! 2 weeks to San Jose...I think. Has anyone been to both San Jose and Rio? Expected differences (besides beach)? Your helps appreciated and there'll be two of us on the loose somewhere for a week in early Feb. Is 8 days to much? Should we split 4/4 with a beach resort? Your Opinions matter. Having been to both I think every man needs to experience the women of Brazil. The women are just great ! However travel to Brazil is a pain and expensive. Also, I travel alone and I feel much safer in CR than Rio. So for me its so much easier to travel to CR than Brazil since I can usually only get away for four or five days. I will be taking trip number 7 this May. |

Finz - All things being equal, Brazil. But as Tax said, all things are not equal. You might look up my trip reports on Brazil. I'm a big fan but having said that, I just got back from SJ. The things I love about Brazil are many. Beautiful mountains, beach, weather and girls. The food is far better than CR, and Rio, and especially Sao Paulo, are real cities. The prices are about a third less for girls in Rio (compared to SJ) and the quality is breathtaking. Yes, the distance is an over-nighter and 3 times as much, but if you have 5 days or more, it's worth it. Generally speaking, it is easier to find excellent looking girls with stellar bodies and attitudes in Rio. The girls expect to stay overnight and $100 is average. But their looks and attitudes are, more often than not, off the charts. Three or more of the girls I was with last time in Rio could have been in Playboy, easily. The difference, of course, is unlike the magazine, these girls are real and get into you bigtime. I've never seen girls go for the big "O" (theirs) with the kind of dedication that is so typical there. CR is a great place, make no mistake. Many girls have good attitudes if you can find them, but a high percentage are fat and getting fatter. If you like big women, fine, but if you're like me and like a more toned, trim look, you must hunt a bit in SJ. Either way you'll have fun and if you're a newbie, CR probably makes sense first. But if you have the time and want to see how it feels to live like Hugh Hefner minus the mansion, Rio is the place. Jazz |

Don't forget that US citizens need a visa to enter Brazil. You must buy your airfare first, then apply for the visa. You might not have enough time. I'd say, if this is your first trip to Latin America or to a prime mongering location, go to San Jose. It's easier, and there is a built in support group at the Del Rey and the Presidente (popular mongering hotels), and this forum. ![]() |

You know---I never hear anything about Mexican women. Not even sure why I'm asking other than Mexico is so close by. But where do Mexican women rank in the scheme of things? |
