Interesting how we have adapted our identities to names called "handles. CRT and it's father site CRS gave an intro to a number of mongers from many states and countries. A handle is a discreet way of promoting a belief, an agenda or just reporting what that person does in travel. It is a disguise and yet it is a way to communicate with fellow travelers who venture into known and unknown territories. Perhaps seeking the adventure of liaison with a Chica or just wanting to see the country.

As discussed several years ago, it would be interesting to know what is behind all of these handles posted on CRT. Basically, what is behind that "handle" you use to identify yourself and what led to using that identity?

It is interesting that many of us meet and forget the name of that person. But, the "handle" seems to stay in our memory.

Just an update for those who have registered in the last several years.

I borrowed my "handle" from the mascot of a university I vaguely remember attending many years ago.

As a former Cavalry Officer, I've always respected Plains tribal Warriors/Chiefs...I would have chosen a different handle the day I registered, but couldn't remember how to spell "Quanah".

When I depart from a 757 or a 737 in Atlanta, I immediately feel a suffocation.

I instantly know that I am not 19 minutes away from the famous Karen (HLH) or my many others.

It's like air. You never think about it until you don't have it.

That is why I cant stay away.

Que Cheezy.

JTF-Bravo was the first unit I ever deployed overseas with, back in the 80s. The tour introduced me to the hobby overseas.

Jett- I'm a lover of aviation. I'm a collector of die-cast scale model aircraft, albeit mostly military. My given nickname is Jeff but I dropped the two F's for T's. Airplane love+given nickname=Jett :D

Got my start mongering in Rio. I love a healthy ass on a chica and bunda is a brazilian slang term for ass.

Just took my first name initial and added the cereal reference to make Special K. Been the same on many boards for well over a decade now.

How about you Circus?

Ornitorrinco in Spanish is platypus. I chose it because like them, I too am a freak of nature.

Left my home country to live and work in Jamaica, Russia, Germany, USA with no end in sight as I have now rounded the 50 year mark. I am an expat.
