what is paisa spanish?
"Paisa" is what the Colombians living in and around Medellin and the coffee region of Antioquia call themselves. The paisas are proud and consider themselves "the heart" of Colombia... sort of like Texans. Culturally, the paisas are a distinct group from the rest of Colombia... and to a degree, there is a racial difference as well. So, paisa Spanish is a unique dialect of Spanish that is spoken rapidly, with much slang, and many truncated words. But ask any paisa, and they will tell you that they speak the purest form of Spanish.

Many CRT members are well-versed in Paisa Spanish already.
