on Labor Day my entire group used Matt's bus service, and none of us were staying there, I believe. I just called and booked it.

The bus stops at the croc river bridge to check out the tourist spot, and Matt quietly warned everyone to skip the cigar offerings, but to try the smoothies (preferably with the rum shot). It was a very comfortable ride out there, and I would not hesitate to use the service again.

I dont think it goes daily. I think they only arrange it when theres enough interest. I called to ask about it last week for Thanksgiving weekend and they said to check back next week.

what happened to all the promo

I looked through previous posts and he was saying that he bought a big 40 person luxury bus with all the trimmings and was running it daily to Jaco with beer, girls and more

mmmmmmmm maybe a little false promo (BS) here, like opening the Castille Hotel October 15

I used the Amistad “bus” to Jaco and back last week. I was told by the front desk that they are using the large bus only when they reach a certain level of booking. The days I went they were using the typical tourist van which they might call a 12 passenger van but it will never hold that plus luggage. Talking with others who used it on different days last week it was always the van. No one had seen the bus.

I think it is a great service, but don’t expect the large luxury bus every day. On the ride down last Thursday the general consensus was we were packed in as tight as coach on the cheapest airline. On Sunday there was absolutely no way everyone was going to fit with luggage. Four of us stayed behind and arranged our own transportation (the Cocal Van). To La Amistad’s credit we were partially reimbursed (their cost of sending a van). The extra expense came to only $10 per person.

BTW the Cocal van and driver were great.

Don and Matt are trying to offer a service to all of us and make a profit in the process. We should all be thankful and understanding .
