Just to let you guys know: I was planning a trip down there on November 12. On November 10 both of my hands ceased to work. I spent several days at the Medical Center in Houston. Diagnosed with radial nerve palsy. I know I let a few of you down... I had made reservations for 3 at the Thanksgiving dinner, and had told a newbie to meet me on the 13th upstairs at the Colonial, etc. Suddenly, two days before my trip, neither of my hands would work. I have now been to 7 doctors, and 3 hand specialists. I'm getting better. I'm on a 6 month medical disability leave from my work. Anyway, I wanted to let those of you who expected me to be there in November to know what happened. I'm just now able to type. I can not write. Pretty strange to be a university graduate, and be unable to write a simple sentence. Thank God for computers. -Gopher

Gopher,

Sorry to learn of your medical problem. Fortunately we live in an age of excellent medical care. I noticed you spoke of disability leave from work and I assume you have health insurance so that should help relief the financial stress.

A few years ago I had a problem with the use of my left hand, fortunately through the efforts of an excellent neurologist and some physical therapy the problem was taken care off.

I wish you similar good results and a speedy recovery.

Just PM me if you have a special chica who might need some TLC

Gopher,

A speedy recovery mi amigo. Based on how the Thanksgiving Dinner turned out, I am certain there will be another next November.
