Can you buy whiskey at a duty free shop in the U.S and take it on a domestic flight ? tuanis |

I don't think so. It seems like it has to be an international flight. You can purchase whiskey when you are leaving Costa Rica, but if you have another domestic flight after arriving in the states you have to put it in a checked bag. |

Yes, I believe you are correct on all - you must be going out of the country to purchase duty free - not on your flight from NYC to Peoria! |

In the bigger airports that have intrenational terminals, domestic terminals don't even have duty free shops. |
