| Post subject: | Advice on San Ramon |
I've been researching some towns located outside of SJ within 1 hr driving distance. Would like to hear from members who have lived or experienced San Ramon. Looking for a similar type tico towns in the central valley. I prefer the green season and cooler temps. cheers |

If I were to live in CR, San Ramon would be on my list along with Grecia, Sarchi & Atenas. I believe PuravidaTransport has been living there for several years... he probably can give you good insight into the daily life in San Ramon. |

I've lived in San Ramon for about 5 years now...love this town. San Ramon has almost everything you need including most branches of the government like Registro, driver's license etc.. Also has a university, very good hospital, lots of private doctors, dentists and lawyers. It is a very clean city with very little major crime. Still have to deal with the petty stuff just like every other place in Costa Rica. As for P4P, it doesn't exist in San Ramon. Climate is perfect although the wind in the mountains can be a bit much some days, making it feel chilly. The town is also loaded with shopping including a nice mall with a movie theater, most of the popular fast foods like McDonalds, KFC not to mention the Wal-Mart and all the shops downtown. In my opinion, one of the best places to live in all of Costa Rica but not a whole lot of tourist stuff including a shortage of quality hotel rooms. Any specific questions I can answer? |
