Anybody know if there is a high end Pro Photography Store in San Jose? One that Pro Photogs would go
for lighting equipment, etc.? I am not looking for a store geared toward the average Joe, like Ritz Cameras.

Here are some places that had good displays of professional equipment at the recent ExpoFoto Costa Rica Exhibition (sorry for the lack of exact locations on most of them.)

Foto Mania, SanPedro, 4000-0939 (they were offering the Nikon D7100 for the incredible, for CR, price of $1275.)

Equipo Fotografico 8384-5460 (Nikon dealer and a good selection of lighting equipment.)

Fotomundo, Escazu Guachpelin frente al Club Cubano, 2215-4089 (I was looking at their selection of Nikon lenses.)

There's also a place (whose name I can't recall) that sells Canons, lighting, etc. on Avenida Central directly across from Plaza Cultural.

For professional printing and mounting use JBP, 150 meters west of Zona II.

With the exception of JBP, all of these places are much more limited than their U.S. counterparts.

Here's the ExpoFoto site for 2013, for 2014 planning: http://expofotocr.com/
This may be of some help (contacts, etc.): http://blog.lafototeca.org/2011/08/even ... -foto.html
None of the stores seems to have a Web presence. Sorry.
