Post subject:  A Good CR customer service story

So a lot of you know I have an apartment I keep in CR w my gf.
About a year ago I had purchased an LG 40" 1080 flat for the common space.
Last month I get a despondent phone call saying the tv had just imploded.
I didn't think it was much that could be done about it since the tv had been purchased in Panama by an aunt but asked her to give LG a call and see what they would do for her.
They asked her to take it to a repair center in SJ and with her brothers help she got it there.
A month later they didn't have an answer on the repair so LG decided yesterday they would replace the tv with a 43" samsung.
Not sure why the brand change but hey, take the samsung.
They delivered it today with a free microwave and iron!
All new in the boxes.
Not sure this would happen stateside let alone in CR so I thought I would share it.

hmmmm well the mom does have the micro and the iron...let me get back to you on that :P

Nice to hear a good-ending story once in awhile. I forget which is which but one company builds components for the other which may be why Samsung stepped up. I'd like to think a nice note got sent to the Samsung Customer Service folks--they hear whiney schiz all the time--this would give them some heart.
