Anyone know what day this month that school summer vacation starts in CR? I know it starts in Dec and goes thru Feb. And, it will for a certain percentage of the day timer girls, change their routines. |

This is vital information! Thanks. I have to think this through. I wonder if the MP daytime action will be affected. |

In all the years I have been here and spending a lot of time in the MPs I have never noticed any change or difference above the normal constant change that takes place. Most of the chicas have other arrangements in place. Students here only go to school in the mornings or in the afternoons and that changes almost daily so the working mothers have to have arrangements for someone to keep the K*ds part of the day everyday anyway. Most of them live in an "extended family" situation with mother, sisters, aunts, etc. in the home; and with 2-3-4 people working and helping to supporting the whole group. Guys wonder how the Ticos can live on such a low per person income--this is how. They may make only $5-600 a month individually but with 3-4 working that is a housewhole income of around $2000 One chica that I know lives at home. Her mother is a school teacher, her grandmother has a small pension, her disabled uncle has a pension and works part time. And she makes more than all 3 of the others combined!!!!!!!!!!!! but all help to pay the expenses. |
