Virgin mobile is the carrier. I've always had phones unlocked in Thailand with no problem and thought I might be able to do the same in CR. Will be making my maiden voyage to CR in December. Gracias mi amigo. |

Go to Amazon and search for unlocked phones. You will find a good Nokia for under a $100 that you can use here. When you land in CR you can get a sim card with number and minutes at the Kolbi booth by baggage claim. Kolbi is like Virgin Mobile for CR. |
