So, tis the season for resolutions ...

1) Find an apartment in SJO and possibly "commute" to work in the USA
2) Not bust LH chops over his nica or his towel problem
3) Make it to Colombia

hmmm , maybe just #1 and 3

feel free to add others

New year's resolutions...

1) find an american paying job in latin america in panama, colombia, costa rica, nicaragua or argentina.
2) sell my house
3) continue practicing my spanish and enroll in some more classes
4) get a latina girlfriend and monger on the side

If 1 thru 4 doesn't happen and if I am still employed in the USA next year, then...

5) I will travel to CR 8,9 or 10 times next year.

I am learning the government procedures now, to open a business.
It is a franchise I am affiliated with already.
I plan to be open by June.
I think this will be interesting.
My shark indicates there are way$ to expedite things.
We'll see.

Opening a business is a far cry from finding a job in a 3rd world country at 1st world salaries.

That is a very possible idea for you. Apartments are dirt cheap in some part of town. My novia shares a three bedroom apartment in Alajuela. The rent for HER alone is $45 dollars a month. I spend more in one night at the Presidente. Then you add $10 for La Luz, and $5 for agua (cold shower though) and you have her entire monthly rent: $60 bucks. Since I have helped her with that and bought her a bed that is big enough for both of us....I think I have moved in with her.

I asked her today if she prefers to stay with me at the Presidente when I return and she would think nothing of it. She insisted....mi casa es su casa. I have to stay with her. I guess I better get used to the cold showers. Then again, when I am around her I need one. I will rent a car and escape to the massage parlors for side action. I still want to see what is available in Alajuela, if I can ever escape long enough to look.

Anyway, you are welcome to stay with "us" anytime you need to, Tex.

Tex, you could sleep on our big bed, with super K in the middle. Or maybe you could sleep with her roomate Karolina. She is a cutie and a cuddler, as long as her two K*ds are not there. I would not sleep with Andrea, because Diego would probably get mad....and her K*D would keep you awake. You would have to be willing to take shots of tequila. Everybody does, and you would look funny not participating. You could sleep on the couch, but the K*ds might wake you in the morning. The shower is fine, but I woke the neighbors screaming when the water hit my back. There is a steady stream of neighborhood hotties dropping by, and some of them are definately available. I still think your best bet is Karolina's bed.
